Liturgical Ministries

Training of ministers takes place in the fall after signups at the Stewardship Fair, except for altar servers who are trained year round.

Altar Servers

bear the cross and candles during the procession, assist with incense, bring the Sacramentary to the priest for the Opening Prayer and Prayer after Communion, set the altar, assist with bringing the gifts to the altar, and washing of hands. Altar Server training is year around.

Usher/Greeters
welcome everyone as they enter Church for Mass with a warm smile, introducing strangers, assisting those with special needs, helping individuals find a seat if it's crowded, and caring for any needs as they arise. During Mass Usher/Greeters coordinate the flow of people, take up the collection and gifts, and assist with the flow of Communion lines. After Mass they distribute bulletins, tidy up the Church, and assist in counting money from the collection.
