Committees
Elderfriends:
A
ministry for senior parishioners (see sidebar)
How’s Your Life (HYL) is a
group of parishioners working with Fr. Tim and the Oklahoma
Sponsoring Committee. This committee is a coalition of members from
different Catholic and non-Catholic churches from the Oklahoma City
area that are working to organize and listen to the members of our
congregations to determine the pressures that are being felt by our
families. After determining the pressures we will see if there is
anything that we might do as a coalition of faith communities to
address those pressures in our society. At St. Monica the HYL group
will of meet with our families and listen to their stories, and
determine the main pressures felt by them. Specific works of
charity might address some pressures while other pressures might
entail more organized tasks working with the institutions in our
community.
