2008 St. Monica Mission Trip
This was the first mission trip sponsored only by St. Monica and it happened to be composed of all St. Monica parishioners. Fourteen of us left on June 13 and arrived home on the 22nd.
We served our Peruvian brothers and sisters in a wide variety of ways, with not everyone doing all of them. We all had sponsored families and were able to spend time with them, sometimes every day. We built and repaired homes, delivered food packages, boxes, and furniture, brought Communion to the homebound, spent time at the ocean, picked cotton, helped with medical needs, and presented a crucifix and paining of St. Monica to the St. Monica chapel.
